The balcony, and what you see from it
This is what sets this apartment apart from the other: a sliding glass wall opens onto a balcony with two chairs and a small table, and in front of you is the view everyone photographs — the rooftops of the centre and, behind them, Monte della Madonna with its sanctuary on the summit and the scrub covering the slope. In the morning it is where you have breakfast — the one you make in the kitchen, because the apartments have no breakfast service; on 22 October, the patron saint's day, you watch the mountain lit up. The bed that doesn't touch the floor
The bed floats: the frame is set back and hidden, so the mattress appears to hover above the resin floor. The headboard is solid oak, the bedside units are two red lacquered volumes cantilevered from the wall, and the lamps drop from the ceiling on black flex. The sleeping area is divided from the living room by a fitted wall, not a door: closed on one side, open on the other.
Kitchen and living room
The kitchen is open, with an island that doubles as a peninsula and a worktop, an induction hob, oven, sink and — the detail that matters in the morning — a window with the sea on the horizon above the counter. In the living room, the white sofa bed for two more, the round table, the television and an oak shelf running the length of the wall. Air conditioning in both areas.
The marble bathroom
It's the finest of the six spaces we let, and we'll say so plainly: a floor-level shower lined in large slabs of Carrara marble, no step, behind fixed glass; wall-mounted matt black taps; a rectangular vessel basin on an open oak vanity; a long mirror in a wooden frame; and a real window, so daylight.

FAQ about The Grigio apartment
Which apartment has the view?
The Grigio: the living room's glass wall opens onto a balcony with a table and chairs, looking over the rooftops of the centre towards Monte della Madonna with the sanctuary on top. The kitchen window also faces the sea.
What's the difference between the Arancio and the Grigio?
Same size, about 70 m², and the same capacity: a double plus a sofa bed, up to four. The Arancio has the kitchen concealed behind folding doors and panels of Sicilian majolica set into the floor; the Grigio has the balcony facing Monte della Madonna, the floating bed and the Carrara marble bathroom.
Do the apartments have rooftop access?
Yes. The 140 m² rooftop with its view of the Aeolian Islands is on the floor above and is open to guests of both the B&B and the two apartments.
Booking here
What changes if you book directly.
This isn't a polite formula. Book here and you're talking to the people who will welcome you — and we can decide things without asking anyone's permission.
- The best rate we can do
- With no intermediation the margin stays in the house, and we can use it for you. If you've seen better elsewhere, write to us before booking: we almost always find a way.
- You talk to us
- No call centre: we answer on WhatsApp ourselves, before, during and after. Real opening times, real advice, and where the parking actually is.
- Priority on services
- The boat and the e-bikes have limited places: guests who book directly choose their dates first.
- Flexibility
- A late arrival, a later check-out, an extra cot: if we can, we will. You just ask us, directly.
- The third night
- Two days cover the town, but leave out the Nebrodi — the half nobody expects. If you're staying an extra night, ask us when you book: we do a different price for guests who book here.
The reason is simple: when you book here there is nobody in between. What we save on intermediation comes back to you as rate and as freedom to move — a late arrival, an extra night, a last-minute request.
